Mahamastabhisheka concludes at Varur on a grand note

A 12-day Mahamastakabhisheka, Tirthankara Pancha Kalyana Mahotsava and inuauguration of Sumeru Parvata, which attracted thousands of people from across the country, concluded on a grand note at Navagraha Tirtha of Varur near Hubballi on Sunday. Participating in the valedictory ceremony of the event, Labour Minister and district in-charge Santosh Lad said that with the religious event and due to the service of Sri Gunadhar Nandi Maharaj, Navagraha Tirtha at Varur has emerged as a pilgrimage centre. Lauding the initiative of providing free education to the poor of all religions in the institutions run by trusts headed by Sri Gunadhar Nandi Maharaj, the Minister termed it as model institutions. Rajeshwar Nandi Maharaj of Kailas Ashram of Bengaluru said that Jain religion was founded on the basic principle of sacrifice and that basic tenet helps monks like Sri Gunadhar Nandi Maharaj in building such philanthropic institutions. The force behind the whole event Sri Gunadhar Nandi Maharaj was honoured by Jain monks with Rajashree and Shikshanashree titles.
