Keeping in view the incidents of ATM-related frauds on the rise, State Bank of India has introduced a one-time password -based cash withdrawal system for its ATMs. SBI's OTP-based ATM cash withdrawal facility has come into system with effect from today, 1st January 2020. How will SBI customer withdraw cash through OTP In this process, once the cardholder enters the amount they wish to withdraw, the ATM screen displays the OTP screen. SBI OTP-based ATM transaction not applicable at other bank ATMs This facility will not be applicable for transactions from another bank's ATM, because this functionality has not been developed in National Financial Switch. This additional factor of authentication will protect SBI customers from unauthorized ATM cash withdrawals.
