
APSRTC bags national-level excellence awards in four categories
The HinduThe Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has won the National Bus Transport Excellence Awards in four categories for the year 2023-24. The awards are presented annually by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings, a Central government public sector organisation. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Executive Director G. Vijayaratnam and Deputy Chief Engineer Y. Srinivasa Rao received the award from former IPS officer Kiran Bedi at a function held in New Delhi on Saturday. Free bus travel for SSC students In view of the Secondary School Certificate Public examinations, scheduled in the State from March 17 to March 31, 2025 and the fact that a total of 6,49,884 students are expected to write the exams in 3,450 centres across the State from 9.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m., the APSRTC officials have instructed the staff to allow 10th Class students to travel free of cost in their buses during the exam timings.
