Containers are loaded onto a China-Vietnam freight train at Nanning International Railway Port in Nanning, capital of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Freight volumes on China-Vietnam cross-border trains saw explosive growth in 2024, the China Railway Nanning Bureau Group Co Ltd said. A staggering 1,153 percent year-on-year growth in freight volumes was seen, with a total of 19,670 twenty-foot equivalent units of goods shipped from South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, the bureau reported. The safe and stable operations of the China-Vietnam freight trains provide robust transport support for cross-border trade between China and ASEAN.
