CBI arraigns parents as accused in Walayar siblings’ death case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arraigned the parents of the two minor girls who were found dead hanging at their house in Walayar in 2017 in mysterious circumstances following alleged rape as accused in the case. Kutti Madhu was found dead in a closed factory at Binanipuram, near Aluva, in October 2013, while Pradeep was found dead hanging at his Cherthala residence in November 2020. The siblings, aged 13 and nine years, were dead found hanging in a shed near their house at Walayar within a span of two months in 2017. The mother of the girls had written an open letter a month ago to Pious Mathew, newly appointed Special Public Prosecutor, expressing her mistrust in him and urging him to withdraw from the case.
