GMCH does patchwork on bad roads in prep for Chaturthi

Hyderabad: Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, roads in the city are getting a makeover, with patchworks being undertaken to cover potholes and fix overflowing drains. The minister instructed the officials concerned to rid potholes, fix overflowing drains in the city and install streetlights on routes with heavy movement of devotees. GHMC chief engineer Mohammad Ziauddin said, “We have repaired over ten thousand potholes in the last week. There are nearly three thousand potholes left, which will be repaired in two to three days.” HMWS&SB general manager Jan Shareef said, "A special drive is ongoing to fix drains across the city.
