Mercedes-Benz India clocks its highest-ever domestic sales
India TodayMercedes-Benz India firmly consolidates its leadership position in the luxury car market with significant margin, despite prevalent pandemic-related challenges. The Indian arm of the German carmaker delivered 4,101 units in the July to September 2021 period, registering a 99 per cent growth over 2020, making it one of its highest quarters ever in its history in India. In 2021 alone, the company introduced as many as 11 new products, including the Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz GLS Maybach and a host of AMGs including the Mercedes-AMG A35, Mercedes-AMG GLA 35, Mercedes-AMG E53, Mercedes-AMG E63, and Mercedes-AMG GLE63 S. The strong Q3 volumes resulted in Mercedes-Benz India crossing the entire CY 2020 sales volume within the January to September period, which accounted for 8,958 units, a 79 per cent growth achieved over the same period last year. Mercedes-Benz India also revealed that it received equal demand of 48 per cent for its sedan and SUVs in the January to September 2021 period.
