The show features Anchorman star Christina Applegate in the role of Jen Harding, a woman on the hunt for the man who killed her husband in a hit-and-run incident. “It’s mahogany.” Reddit users think the moment is a nod to Anchorman‘s Ron Burgundy and his line: “I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.” Ferrell and Anchorman director Adam McKay both serve as executive producers on the show. “Anchorman writers Will Ferrell & Adam McKay are producers on Dead To Me and I really appreciate their commitment to stories where braggadocios men with moustaches tell Christina Applegate about mahogany,” the tweet reads.
