Chetan Chauhan criticises BCCI withholding Mohammed Shami's contract

​Former India cricketer Chetan Chauhan criticised the Board of Control for Cricket in India withholding pacer Mohammed Shami's contract, saying "the issue has nothing to do with cricket". "I think BCCI should not withhold Mohammed Shami's contract as the issue has nothing to do with cricket and also he has not been found guilty yet", he said while talking to reporters on Friday. The Committee of Administrators, running the BCCI, held back pacer Mohammed Shami's contract after his wife, Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence. The committee, which announced new player contracts on behalf of the BCCI, said that it will verify facts before taking a call on Shami's new contract.
