News 18Legendary NFL player and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady had some delightful news for fans of Birmingham City FC as he announced that he had become a minority owner at the English second-division side. The 46-year-old has partnered with Birmingham City’s holding company Knighthead Capital Management LLC to become chairman of a new advisory board. “This is a city and club on the rise and I can’t wait to experience the St Andrew’s atmosphere for myself.” Brady is the latest high-profile American to become involved in English football. A statement from Knighthead said Brady would “become chairman of the new advisory board, working directly with the club’s board and members of Birmingham City Football Club’s leadership team.” It added he would “apply his extensive leadership experience and expertise across several components of the club, including working alongside the sports science department to advise on health, nutrition, wellness, and recovery systems and programmes”.
