The many transformative lessons I have learned at university

Known for its German colonial architecture, famous beer, and tranquil beaches, Qingdao was the place where I began to understand China — not just as a country but as a culture, a way of life, and a place that would profoundly shape my future. While Qingdao had been a coastal haven, Wuhan was a bustling metropolis in Central China's Hubei province, known for its history and for being a hub of education and innovation. Wuhan University, perched on scenic Luojia Hill and overlooking East Lake, is one of China's Top 10 universities. The city came together in ways I had never seen before — neighbors supported one another, healthcare workers worked tirelessly, and a sense of collective responsibility prevailed.
