BPSC exam row: Pappu Yadav’s supporters block roads, burn tyres in Bihar
The HinduThe call for a Statewide bandh given by Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav in support of students against the discrepancies in the examination process of the Bihar Public Service Commission witnessed vandalism and violence in several areas of Patna. The bandh supporters set fire to automobile tyres and blocked the roads; the protesters demanded a cancellation of the Integrated 70th BPS-Combined Competitive Examination following alleged irregularities in the same. They also broke the glasses of several vehicles in Patna, Mr. Yadav on Saturday had announced that the Bihar bandh will be organised in a peaceful manner but his supporters created a lot of ruckus. The Patna police lodged an FIR against Mr. Yadav and 15 others for creating ruckus on the city roads and also charged the lot with vandalising vehicles and shops.
