
PJTSAU and IIRR sign MoU to collaborate on enhancing paddy productivity
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: The Prof. Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University and the Indian Institute of Rice Research, based in Hyderabad, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on enhancing paddy productivity. The agreement was formalised in a ceremony held at PJTSAU's administrative building at Rajendranagar, attended by PJTSAU Vice-Chancellor Professor Aldas Janaiah, IIRR Director Dr. R. Meenakshi Sundaram, and PJTSAU Registrar Dr G.E. During the event, Prof. Janaiah emphasised the importance of developing climate-resilient rice varieties and the role of carbon credits in supporting farmers. Dr Meenakshi Sundaram expressed confidence that the MoU would foster greater collaboration between the two institutions, ultimately benefiting farmers and improving agricultural practices.
