Hyderabad: North zone police solves gold theft case, arrests four
Deccan ChronicleHYDERABAD: The north zone task force along with Market police solved the case in which five persons posing as I-T officials fled with 17 100-gram gold biscuits from the Siddi Vinayaka store in Pot Market on May 27, with the arrest of four remaining persons on Friday. Police had previously arrested Rahman Gafoor Athar, Zakir Ghani Athar, Praveen Yadav, Akash Arun Hovil, Abhijith Kumar and Amol Ganpatrav Jhadav and Sidharath Jhadav of Goa. Police said Zakir Ghani Athar used to work at an adjacent shop at Pot Market and used to go to the Siddi Vinayaka Gold Shop on work frequently, west zone DCP Chandana Deepti and task force DCP Radhakishna Rao said. On May 30, police arrested Rahman Athar, Zakir Athar, Praveen Yadav and Akash Hovli and recovered 573 grams of gold.
