Yemen's capital under attack after Houthi targets Israel, Iran-backed group threatens 'revenge' | VIDEO
India TV NewsA series of intense airstrikes shook Yemen's rebel-held capital early on Thursday, shortly after a Houthi missile targeted central Israel. The strikes happened just after the Israeli military said its air force intercepted a missile launched from Yemen before it entered the country's territory. A Houthi military spokesman meanwhile announces that the Iran-backed rebel group will give “an important statement” in the coming hours, amid the strikes in Yemen and shortly after the IDF said it intercepted a missile fired from there toward central Israel, Times of Israel reported. The Houthis have targeted some 100 merchant vessels with missiles and drones since the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip started in October 2023 after Hamas' surprise attack on Israel.
