Justice Owens also said that it was quite apparent to the jury that the evidence of Ms Hand could not sit with the evidence put forward by Mr McGregor. He further said that Mr McGregor was verbally abusive of Ms Hand in the court, which he said stopped the court “in its tracks”. John Fitzgerald SC, for Mr Lawrence, said his client was not involved in some “grand conspiracy theory” against Ms Hand and said the court was being asked to become the 13th juror in the case.
