A Calcutta High Court bench, on July 16, issued an order restraining West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee “from making any defamatory or incorrect statement” against the governor till August 14. The interim order was passed by Justice Krishna Rao on a defamation case filed by governor C.V. Ananda Bose against Mamata after she said that women were apprehensive about visiting the Raj Bhavan.
