IIT Delhi and DRDO redefine secure communication with quantum tech

IIT Delhi and DRDO have achieved a major milestone in secure communication with their successful demonstration of quantum communication technologies. USING FREE-SPACE TECHNOLOGY, INDIGENOUS INNOVATIONS Free-space quantum communication experiments made use of the BBM-92 protocol, an advanced technique that uses photon pairs to securely exchange information. With breakthroughs in fibre and free-space quantum communication, this collaboration sets the stage for secure communication in critical areas like defence and finance. IIT Delhi and DRDO continue to explore new ways to enhance secure communication, funded by deep-tech initiatives for defence innovation.
