Hathras gangrape: No obvious signs of sexual assault on victim's body, says Aligarh neurosurgeon
India TodayThe neurosurgeon who treated Hathras gangrape victim in UP's Aligarh on Tuesday said that there were no 'obvious' signs of sexual assault on her body. Speaking to India Today TV, hours after the Hathras gangrape victim passed away at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, Dr MF Huda said that when the girl was brought to the hospital on September 14, she had a major spinal cord injury but there were no other “obvious” signs of any other assault. Dr Huda said that the victim had an ulcer on her tongue which could have been from a previous injury, "not necessarily inflicted due to the incident". "The cause of death will come out in the final post mortem report but the kind of spinal cord damage we saw, it was severe enough to kill someone," Dr Huda said.
