As many as 70,000 motorists who applied for help to scrap their vehicles to avoid paying Sadiq Khan's Ulez have yet to receive a pay-out, latest figures show. Sadiq Khan set aside £210m for the scrappage fund - but less than 40 per cent of those who applied have currently received a payout The ULEZ expansion scheme is set to start on August 29. Sadiq Khan has pumped another £50 million into the scrappage scheme, setting its cost at an eye watering £160 million Sign highlighting the boundary of London's Ultra Low Emissions Zone zone. A £110million was set aside by Mr Khan for the fund, but this was increased to £160million ahead of the Ulez expansion to the Greater London boundary last August.
