Eshwarappa to be sacked? BJP top brass to decide fate of 'corrupt' Karnataka minister today
India TodayThe Bharatiya Janata Party's central leadership will take a decision on Wednesday evening over allegations of corruption against Karnataka minister Eshwarappa. A few weeks ago, Patil wrote a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in which he alleged that Eshwarappa had not cleared outstanding bills due to him. The Karnataka Congress on Wednesday submitted a letter to Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot seeking the dismissal of minister Eshwarappa from the state government. The letter stated, “The main cause for his extreme step of committing suicide appears that he had carried out 108 government contract works worth more than Rs 4 crores on or before February 12, 2021, in Belagavi district on the oral instruction of KS Eshwarappa, Minister for Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj of Karnataka, even without work orders from the concerned authorities.” The letter stated that whenever Santosh approached the minister and concerned officials for payment and for work orders, they insisted on the commission, stating that the commission had to be paid first.
