Jamia violence case: Delhi Police move HC against order discharging 11 accused, including Sharjeel Imam

The Delhi Police have moved the High Court against an order by the District Court in Saket, discharging 11 accused in the 2019 Jamia violence case. JAMIA VIOLENCE CASE A case was registered at Jamia Nagar Police Station in connection with the violence that broke out on December 13, 2019. In July last year, Sharjeel Imam moved two pleas seeking a stay on trial in a case of sedition against him and interim bail in the matter. Meanwhile, Sharjeel Imam will remain in custody as he is an accused in a larger conspiracy of Delhi riots case and a sedition case.
