BJP Stir Starts From July 18 for Farmers in Telangana

Deccan Chronicle

HYDERABAD: The BJP will launch an agitation from July 18 demanding the state government to immediately pay agriculture loan waiver dues to farmers, a promise Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had made in 2018. Announcing this, the BJP state general secretary G. Premender Reddy said that the Rao government was anti-farmers, which was why they are calling for ‘ab ki baar Telangana mein kisan sarkaar’. We demand a white paper on the power situation with details of power purchase agreements, procurement costs and details on how much power is being supplied to farmers,” Reddy said. “The state does not implement the solar agriculture pump set scheme of the Centre, which will free the farmers from dependence on state supplied power.
