Jagan Seeks Global Standards for Teaching in Schools, Colleges

Deccan Chronicle

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has said global standards must be ensured for teaching in schools and for intermediate education in AP. Chairing a high-level meeting on education with senior officials here on Monday, the Chief Minister directed the officials to undertake an extensive study on how the global standards could be achieved for the state’s government education sector and how students can have better employment opportunities. He said if students could pursue such high quality education, their Class X and Intermediate pass certificates would be acceptable at the global level and help them pursue higher education or find employment anywhere in the world. Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the previous Telugu Desam government failed to pay proper attention to ensuring quality education to the students.
