Bangladesh vs West Indies, 1st Test: BCB confirms Shakib Al Hasan suffered strain to left thigh on Day 2
India TodayAfter a long wait since the ban imposed by the ICC, Shakib Al Hasan made his international comeback during the white-ball leg of the home series against West Indies. After scoring 68 runs in the 1st innings, Shakib injured his groin again on Day of the 1st Test and had to walk off the field after having delivered only 6 overs. After Shakib felt discomfort while bowling on Day 2, he was taken for scans and the MRI report has confirmed that he suffered a strain on his left thigh. ''Having recovered from his previous groin injury ahead of the first Test and successfully managing to bat in the Bangladesh first innings as well as send down six overs, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has suffered a strain in a different region of his left thigh while fielding on day two,'' said BCB in a statement on Friday.
