TGNPDCL to interlink substations to boost power supply

NIZAMABAD: The Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited has launched a comprehensive action plan to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming summer peak. TGNPDCL CMD Karnati Varun Reddy directed officials to stay vigilant, anticipating a sharp rise in power demand due to increased use of fans, air coolers, and air conditioners. Officials expect power consumption to surge by 15 per cent or more compared to previous years, potentially reaching 6,000 MW in April and May. On Thursday, power demand within TGNPDCL limits touched 5,300 MW; officials expect it to exceed 6,000 MW in the summer peak.
