New Redmi flagship to be called Redmi K20 Pro
Live MintNew Delhi: Chinese tech major, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is supposed to introduce its new product on 14 May. Just a few days ahead of the launch, a leaked picture of the phone's protective sticker on a website shows that the name of the product could be Redmi K20 Pro. In a social media post on 1 May 2019, Redmi’s General Manager, Lu Weibing, has confirmed that the soon to be launched product will not be called the Redmi X but “there will be a better name." This will be the first product of Redmi to come with Qualcomm's flagship processor, the Snapdragon 855, joining likes of Xiaomi Mi 9, Lenovo Z6 Pro, Lenovo Z5 Pro GT, Samsung Galaxy S10 series, Sony Xperia 1 and a few others. As per the teaser, the new Redmi K20 Pro is supposed to have a pop-up camera and bezel-less display, a design choice pioneered and made popular by the company’s Chinese rival, Vivo.
