A comedy roadshow took a more serious turn for a police officer who travelled more than 100 miles to watch a standup show, believed to be Michael McIntryre's Magnificent tour, while on duty. PC Sharon Taylor, who left Suffolk Constabulary’s headquarters in Ipswich to drive to Nottingham just three minutes after clocking on, was found to have committed gross misconduct. Taylor, whose deception was uncovered after her number plate was picked up by automatic recognition cameras during a subsequent investigation, later claimed payments for working antisocial hours, a misconduct hearing at Norfolk Police headquarters was told.
