ICC Awards: Virat Kohli named captain of ODI and Test teams of the year
India TodayThe annual ICC awards were declared on Wednesday morning with Ben Stokes winning the highest prize in the form of Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for world player of the year. While Pat Cummins and Rohit Sharma also walked away with top prizes in Test and ODI categories respectively, Indian captain Virat Kohli was bestowed with triple honours. On one hand, Kohli's gesture for Steve Smith during World Cup 2019 was awarded the Spirit of Cricket Award, what would please the captain, even more, is the fact that he was selected as the leader of both ICC ODI and Test teams of the year.
