Hyderabad: St. George’s Grammar School celebrates 190th anniversary
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad:Thousands of students, present and retired staff and the alumni celebrated the 190th anniversary of St. George’s Grammar School at Gunfoundry, one of the oldest in the city, on Friday. Prof. Dr B. Vimal Sukumar, warden and correspondent, gave prizes to outstanding students, Syeda Farida from girls' school and Syed Zeshan Quadri from boys’ school. Aruna Bahuguna, retired DGP and alumnus, said, “The students were given the best of education, which helped them choose what they want in life, to be good and contributing citizens to the nation.” Jayashree Damisetty, an alumnus, said, “The school gave us a strong foundation. This is where they get the management skills and leadership qualities from the early stages.” The principals and staff said the school placed importance on sports and games.
