Pakistan’s military plans to keep me in jail for 10 years under sedition charges: Imran Khan
The HinduPakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan claimed on May 15 that the country's powerful military establishment has planned to keep him in jail for the next 10 years under sedition charges and vowed to fight against the "assortments of crooks" till the last drop of his blood. Mr. Khan returned to his Lahore home on Saturday after having locked himself in the Islamabad High Court premises for hours due to the fear of re-arrest despite being granted bail on Friday. "Pakistan has already seen such a brazen attack on the Supreme Court when in 1997 PMLN goons physically attacked it and had one of the most respected Chief Justices Sajjad Ali Shah removed," he said. Punjab Inspector General Police Dr. Usman Anwar told a press conference on Sunday that over 3,500 people have been arrested in Punjab province for their involvement in the violence that erupted after Mr. Khan's arrest.
