Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 Review: Behold, the greatest battle in television history

The opening scenes of Game Of Thrones, aired almost a decade back now, promised a great war among the Living and the Dead. The episode has been promoted over the last few weeks as the greatest battle sequence ever to be shot; even better and grander than the Battle of Helm's Deep in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Before the battle We left off the last episode with Winterfell preparing for battle and that's exactly where this episode picks up. Director Miguel Sapochnik, who has given us GoT gems like Hardhome, The Battle of the Bastards and Winds of Winter, doesn't take much time to delve into the battle sequences he's famous for. The Red Woman's promise If the men and women waiting for battle are a little nervous at the beginning, the return of a controversial character brings a light of hope.
