Two officials from two districts were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday for demanding and accepting bribes in separate cases. Krishna, assistant engineer from Kallakal Circle, Manoharabad mandal of Medak, was caught accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 from a complainant. According to the ACB, the accused officer initially demanded ₹30,000, of which he had already accepted ₹10,000 prior to being caught. In another case, Nallanti Vinod, ward officer of Sathupally town of Khammam, was arrested while accepting a bribe of ₹2,500 from the complainant at a juice centre on Aswaraopet road. The tainted amount was recovered from the accused officer who was then produced before the Special Court for SPE and ACB Cases in Warangal.
