Small packages deliver big business in Zhejiang

New business vitalities have emerged from packages as the express delivery volume of Jinhua in Zhejiang province exceeded 13.6 billion last year, making it China's largest city in terms of delivery volume for four consecutive years, Xinhua reported, citing State Post Bureau. In addition to having the world's largest small commodity wholesale market, Yiwu located in northeast part of Jinhua city is actually an e-commerce capital, said Zhu Lanjun, Party secretary of Yiwu's market development committee. China's hardware capital Yongkang, located in southeastern part of Jinhua, has actively embraced the e-commerce market in recent years, with continuous growth of express delivery business. China's cross-border e-commerce exports witnessed a 19.6 percent increase to reach 1.83 trillion yuan in 2023, according to data from the General Administration of Customs.
