Revanth gives a big boost to rural roads

Hyderabad: The construction of rural roads got a major boost on Friday with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy allocating `1,000 crore for the purpose. The Chief Minister also ordered officials to develop a single-road network between the villages and mandals and double roads from mandals to district headquarters. Revanth Reddy pointed out that different methods were adopted in the construction standards of panchayat raj and R&B roads. Roads under the two departments should be built with the same quality standards, he said, noting that motorists did not differentiate on whether they are travelling on panchayat raj roads or R&B roads.
