Why would UConn leave the Big East? Which first-year coaches will win right away?

New York Times

Happy summer, friends and fellow college hoops obsessives, and welcome to another edition of the Shot Takers Mailbag. – Zach G. Wouldn’t Coach Hurley and Coach Auriemma want UConn to stay in the Big East? Short answer: Just because UConn might make a rash decision, that doesn’t mean the Big East ought to follow. First weekend: Brooklyn, N.Y.; Pittsburgh; Greenville, S.C.; Dallas-Fort Worth; Des Moines, Iowa; Denver; Portland, Ore.; San Diego Brooklyn, N.Y.; Pittsburgh; Greenville, S.C.; Dallas-Fort Worth; Des Moines, Iowa; Denver; Portland, Ore.; San Diego Regionals: Boston; Chicago; Nashville; San Francisco Boston; Chicago; Nashville; San Francisco Final Four: San Antonio Anyone who knows me knows I have a semi-reasonable infatuation with Des Moines, which features multiple excellent beverage purveyors and an arena that’s an easy walk from a downtown that never feels overcrowded. The worst team in the Big 12 last year, Texas Tech, finished 63rd in KenPom.com’s ratings.
