Channel Nine did not renew Peter Stefanovic's contract due to a 'cost reduction' strategy, a former television executive has claimed. Peter's brother Karl has also been the subject of speculation he could be 'axed' from the Today show in 2019, following two years of declining ratings Peter added that it had been a 'privilege' to work at Channel Nine for over a decade.
