MEWA Raises Concern on Fee Reimbursement

Deccan Chronicle

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Minority Employees Welfare Association has raised concerns regarding the delayed release of maintenance charges and reimbursement of tuition fees for minority students enrolled in private colleges. In a letter addressed to the Telangana State Minorities Commission chairman Tareq Ansari, MEWA highlighted the hardships faced by students due to non-payment of these funds by the state government. This delay is causing immense stress to many families who rely on this support to educate their children,” Mohammed Masooduddin Ahmed, MEWA president, told Deccan Chronicle. The organisers said that private college managements had refused to issue pass certificates to students citing the pending tuition fee payments.
