SC Allows Continuation of Former Delhi HC Judge as Chairperson of Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission Despite Crossing Age Limit

Former Delhi High Court judge, Justice Jayant Nath, has been allowed to continue as Chairperson of the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) despite crossing the age limit of 65 years. The Supreme Court's order came after a plea by the Delhi government, which was agreeable to both options presented by the court: either continuing Nath in the post or naming someone else if the age limit was considered sacrosanct for the apex court.
