NPR

Hospitals face months of IV fluid shortages after Helene damages N.C. factory Hospitals have been forced to innovate with new ways of hydrating patients and giving them medications, after a key factory that produces IV fluid bags flooded during Hurricane Helene. AYESHA RASCOE, HOST: When Hurricane Helene made its way to western North Carolina, it flooded a North Carolina plant that makes more than 60% of the nation's IV fluid bags.
