
Infosys announces 8% average salary increment for FY14
India TV NewsNew Delhi, June 13: Infosys, India's second-largest software exporter on Thursday announced salary increments of an average 8% for the financial year 2014. The global sales force will see an average increase of 8% which will be effective May 1, 2013.Employees based in other geographies, who have not been covered by salary increases in February 2013, can look forward to an average increase of 3%.Infosys has been in focus this month for getting back NR Narayana Murthy as its Executive Chairman. Earlier this month, ET had reported that employees at the Electronics City campus of Infosys on the outskirts of Bangalore said Murthy's return is like the unexpected, surprise visit of an extended family member. We have an extended family and whenever a family member comes back, either invited or as a surprise, you are always happy," said Shishank Gupta, an assistant vice-president at India's second-largest software exporter.Murthy, who is turning 67 in August, was designated as the chairman emeritus after he announced his retirement from all executive posts at the age of 65 in 2011.
