UP Police Issues Strict Guidelines for Videoing Shootout Sites

Uttar Pradesh police issues fresh guidelines to enhance transparency and accountability in police encounters. The guidelines mandate videography of the site of the shoot-out, forensic examination of weapons, and testing of handwash samples of the alleged criminals. The guidelines also require speedy disposal of cases pending before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and State Human Rights Commission (SHRC).
