Don't sit in your hotel rooms: Gavaskar tells India to practice after 2nd Test loss

India Today

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has urged Indian cricketers to utilise the two extra days following the early finish in Adelaide for practice, emphasising that it’s not ideal to waste valuable time needed to fine-tune their skills. Gavaskar criticised the practice of "optional training sessions" and called for greater commitment from the players to the team’s cause. Gavaskar’s advice to Rohit Sharma's side came after Australia handed India a humbling 10-wicket defeat in the pink-ball Test in Adelaide on Sunday. Speaking to the broadcasters, Gavaskar highlighted that India now have two extra days to acclimatise and prepare for the conditions in Brisbane, where the third Test is scheduled to begin on 14th December.
