Babri post row: Team Uddhav calls Samajwadi's Maharashtra unit 'BJP's B-team'
India TodayThe Samajwadi Party's Maharashtra unit was behaving like the "B-team of BJP", Shiv Sena 's Aaditya Thackeray said on Sunday after Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi said his party would quit the Maha Vikas Aghadi over a Shiv Sena leader's post on the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition. However, Aaditya Thackeray, the son of Uddhav Thackeray, also said that Akhilesh Yadav was fighting his battle against the BJP and said the party's Hindutva ideology was about taking everyone along. Cracks emerged in the opposition camp in Maharashtra after Azmi said the Samajwadi Party would leave the MVA after Shiv Sena MLC Milind Narvekar gave a newspaper ad and praised the demolition of the Babri Masjid on the 32nd anniversary of the incident on December 6. On December 6, Narvekar posted a photo of the demolition of the mosque along with a quote of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray that said, "I am proud of those who did this".
