Google Maps has brought in improvements to the Covid layer feature to help users stepping out during the pandemic. Last month, Google Maps introduced Covid layer in India to show containment zones demarcated in grey colour. Using this feature, users can see how crowded their bus, train, or subway line is based on real-time feedback from Google Maps users around the world. According to Google, the COVID layer feature helped nearly 10 million people get critical information about COVID-19 right from Google Maps.
