As Congress cries EVM fraud, Congress leaders counter it

The Congress is being fact-checked by Congress members themselves. However, senior leaders within the Congress, like P Chidambaram, and a party survey conducted in Maharashtra just ahead of the election counter the EVM-sceptics. The Congress had in its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha election mentioned the "efficiency" of EVMs. The report quoted a Congress leader expressing surprise at the party leadership blaming EVMs for the loss in Maharashtra, while advance data was with it that the BJP-led Mahayuti had reversed the Lok Sabha setback and the MVA was struggling. Even Congress veteran P Chidambaram didn't subscribe to the allegations of EVM manipulation that the party resorted to after every election loss.
