Anantapur GGH to get new blocks by 2023
Deccan ChronicleANANTAPUR: The Anantapur General Hospital and Medical College would have expansion and new buildings by December 2023, said incharge minister Peddiredy Ramachandra here on Monday. The minister offered bhumi puja for expansion of the general hospital, at an estimated cost of `300 crore, mainly to build a maternal and children block on the site acquired from the R&B and Irrigation departments. The irrigation department offices including office of superintendent engineer of TB High Level Main Canal etc were given away to GGH for expansion of services while these departments have to shift their offices to alternative locations. The minister appreciated the initiatives of MLA AV Reddy for development of the hospital and hoped the expansion works would be completed and the new blocks ready by December 2023.
