Josh Berry signing with Wood Brothers Racing, will begin racing in 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season

New York Times

Wood Brothers Racing will have Josh Berry driving its famed No. 21 car beginning with the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, announcing Wednesday that they have signed Berry to a multiyear contract. But consistent success has eluded the still family-owned Wood Brothers in recent years with the team’s last victory occurring in 2017 with Ryan Blaney. Although the Wood Brothers haven’t said anything publicly in recent weeks regarding Burton’s status, it’s been widely expected that the team was moving in a different direction for 2025. It’s been seven years since Wood Brothers Racing was in victory lane, back when future Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney earned his first career win at Pocono.
