He is charged with conspiring with his three co-defendents and others to murder "a person or persons unknown" before 8 July and 25 September 2014. The court heard how the group researched, planned and sourced a weapon and ammunition, with a "view to commenting an attack or attacks on a person or persons within the United Kingdom".
