The CBI's probe revealed that CPS Chauhan and other officers allegedly demanded bribes in exchange for favors related to space allotments, disposal of imported goods, and contractor approvals. He disclosed that the bribes were collected for officers including CPS Chauhan, Deputy Development Commissioner Dr. Varawantkar Prasad Hanumantrao, and other SEEPZ officials. The investigation revealed that the envelopes were coded with names or initials such as “SM,” “RR,” “AC,” and “DDC,” corresponding to individuals like Sanjiv Kumar Meena, Ranjit Rawool, Anil Chaudhary, and Dr. Varawantkar.
